Liam Gallagher, the English singer and songwriter who rose to fame as the lead singer of Oasis and later Beady Eye. The 44 year old father of 4 has not lost his edge and certainly not lost his attitude either. One of his latest Tweets states, “To all you you you haters out there and I know there’s only the 1 the name of my fab new record is AS YOU WERE LG x.” Yeah, appealing to some but not to all it appears… We are pretty sure this is exactly how Gallagher likes it!

The slogan here is: “It’s not Pink Floyd and it ain’t Radiohead. It’s Chin-out music.”

The solo album does not mean he’s embarking on a solo career according to the artist, but instead involves about 10 or 11 songs that were eligible for recording. Apparently, “they’ve got flair, attitude, the melodies are sick and the words are f—ing funny.” The plan seems to be the recoding of the songs this year and the release the next, under the title of “As You Were” and, according to Gallagher himself, will be shocking people. “It’s a record written by me, that’s got all the right ingredients and sounds well tasty.” That definitely sounds promising. In the meantime, fans of Gallagher can enjoy appearances at a handful of festivals across Europe throughout June and July, though the only current North American date booked is at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal this August 4th-6th. In Europe, one can expect to find the tour hitting the EXIT Festival in Serbia on July 6th, Benicassim in Spain from July 13th-17th and Lollapalooza Paris in France from July 22nd to 23rd. Pretty sure most are waiting to hear some more funny insults about everything and everyone. Seriously. The man has wit, even if it does not appeal to all.
