Have you downloaded Empire of the Sun’s LP, Two Vines, yet? If not, it should be next on your to-do list! The group’s comeback single “High and Low” has been performing really well on the charts. If you don’t know much about this Aussie duo, then keep reading…

1. Empire Of The Sun formed in 2007 in Sidney. The EDM duo consists of Luke Steele (formerly of alternative rock band The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (formerly of EDM group Pnau).

2. Although they’ve been around for a while, it wasn’t until January 2016 that their 2008 album title track “Walking on a Dream” was used in a Honda Civic commercial and led them to a breakthrough on the U.S. charts.

3. The duo collaborated with some famous musicians on Two Vines. Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham is featured the last track, “To Her Door”. Wendy Melvoin from Prince’s Revolution band is also featured, as are several David Bowie collaborators.

4. This week, Nick announced his new project, Two Leaves. This is a collaboration in which he is one leaf – a co-producer and co-composer – who joins with other leaves (shifting instrumentalists, singers, composers, and producers) to make music.
