Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar Team Up in New Single Drop

Happiness is having a new Maroon 5 single! Fans of the band are cheering on “Don’t Wanna Know” which is their latest single that just happens to have a whole lot of Kendrick Lamar in the mix – well, technically a guest verse. It is officially available via Apple Music and sounds really fun with tropical vacation instrumentals in the background and has us wondering why this didn’t appear earlier in the summer instead. The pop feature’s music video is set for the television premiere today on NBC’s Today’s Show.

Adam Levine has had to reschedule his touring because of the birth of his baby girl, Dusty Rose, but is back in the game now and shows no signs of slowing down. The new single officially arrived on October 11, and we expect awesome things from the new music video as it has been confirmed that Maroon 5 has hooked back up with David Dobkin, the man behind the visuals of “Sugar” which was nominated for a Grammy and took home  six-time platinum status. The television debut of the collaborative track is slated for The Ellen Show on November 3, though there has been no news about Kendrick Lamar joining Maroon 5 on that day. We shall have to just wait and see!

“Don’t Wanna Know” is the group’s first new music made since their successful album in 2014 known as V, a success producing three singles that made it into the top 10 charts, as well as a fourth that was sitting at 23rd. It will be interesting to see if this new single leads to a new album as well, since we have been waiting for something fresh and totally in line with their fan favorites for a while now. As for the boys of Maroon 5, they will be wrapping up their very popular autumn tour on October 16 in Oakland, California.
