Back in the USA: Adele Announces 56-Show Tour

It’s the announcement we’ve all been hoping for. The 27-year-old Grammy award winning U.K. artist that won our hearts with “Chasing Pavements,” and then won our hearts all over again with ‘Hello,’ has announced plans for a massive 56-Show North American tour that will start in July 2016 and run until November.
The 56-show tour will span the entire country, with most shows taking place at large arenas, including six shows both at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The tour will also expand into Canada (six shows) and Mexico City (two shows).
This is Adele’s first North American tour in five years, bringing back some unpleasant memories of her last attempt in 2011, during which she was forced to cancel several of her shows in the U.S. and U.K because of a serious vocal cord hemorrhage that eventually led to throat surgery. Her hiatus did her well, however, because she’s stunned us all once more with her new album 25.
Now it seems that the singer is eager and ready to adopt the touring life again. In an interview with Rolling Stone, published in November, Adele had still not made up her mind about touring, and was giving herself until Christmas 2015 to decide. “When I’ve sat down and thought, ‘What can I do to bring something new to the table?’ It was just like, ‘Tour.’ Because I haven’t done it properly,” she said.
More recently, Adele played a full concert at Radio City Music Hall for the first time in four years. Adele Live in New York City aired on NBC on December 14th.
Tickets for Adele’s new tour go on sale December 17th at 10 AM. Full dates and details available here: http://adele.com
