Album Announced and Song Release by Beautiful Lana Del Rey

It will be named Lust for Life and aptly so. The debut of the new song “Cherry” from the upcoming album that had no release date yet took place at KROQ Weenie Roast Y Fiesta, causing quite a sensation. As of May 26, however, the arrival date is clear. Expect to go out to grab yours on July 21st! The album’s title track found its debut on a live platform, ahead of its imminent video release, a collaboration with The Weeknd, but lacking Abel Tesfaye during its presentation. The album’s cover art and trailer have also been released on social media by Del Rey already. “Love” has also been shared at this point, along with its accompanying video. Lust for Life will be featuring tracks with Stevie Nicks and Sean Ono Lennon, its reality announced through an obscure black and white trailer. We love the 90’s romance novel look of the album’s artwork, showing off the artist with daisies in her hair, a lacy white dress and standing before a cool vintage pickup truck.

“Cherry” is a sparkly song, in the usual Del Rey style, matching the deep timbre of the artist’s voice. There is something entirely too enticing about the track, even if the current video is merely fan recordings. It is certainly a track one can listen to over and over again. It appears another song release is also due soon, with “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems” a fantastic collaboration with Stevie Nicks who Del Rey admits added so much to it with her contemporary ways. Now, with two months of waiting time still ahead of us, it is going to be a hard wait. Lana Del Rey seems to do that to all, just as she’s done for over a decade now.
