Buckingham & McVie Together!
New Duet Album to be Released Featuring Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham
Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are working on a new album together that is sure to pull on fans’ emotions. One of the best-selling bands of all time with over 100 million records purchased worldwide, the British-American band formed in London back in 1967 has been a top contender in the music industry for many a decade now, bringing us a combination of pop rock, soft rock, blues rock and British blues. Singer-songwriters McVie and Buckingham plan to have their long shared history chronicled in the new duet album, tentatively titled Buckingham McVie. The two have always looked great and sounded even better together so it is no surprise that the news brought out major feelings of anticipation for those who have been loyal followers of the artists. We have only seen Buckingham present his talents as a solo singer or through Fleetwood Mac, so this is a real treat for us. McVie’s 16 year absence until 2014 just adds flavor to the whole thing.
The album is set to be separate from Fleetwood Mac’s repertoire, but that does not mean the women are going at it totally separate. On the contrary, we know that the band’s drummer and bassist, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie respectively, are helping in the production, though Stevie Nicks is out on her own tour these days. Christine McVie has been away from the scene for too long as it is, making this collaboration beyond exciting for everyone involved. It is prime news alongside the Rumors of Fleetwood Mac “Hit to Blues” tour come January 20th, allowing fans to rediscover songs and performances that made the band great over the decades.
The album is expected to become available in May of this year.
