Alyx Ander Interview

Alyx Ander is a hot new artist whose single “Memories of You” is lighting up the EDM airwaves. I predict this Miami-based DJ will soon be booking gigs coast to coast (maybe even EDC Vegas 2018!), so I reached out to request an interview before he’s so busy he won’t have the time. Not only did he accommodate: he proved to be a super friendly and slightly goofy guy who sent me a waving Baby Groot and didn’t bat an eye when I replied with a Star Lord dance-off clip.

f you haven’t seen Galantis before, it truly is a fantastic show. There are multicolored lights, carbon dioxide bursts, drums, and flag-waving. There are frenetic sections of activity behind the turntable that look like they are mixing music. And as every good DJ should, he mixed in some other tracks including Kaskade’s Disarm You, Don’t Let Me Down by the Chainsmokers, and Flume’s Say It.

Of course, fans will be the deciding factor on who actually is the best from this mix, but all in all, there is major hype happening, with the release of “Slide” with Frank Ocean and Migos collaborations, and “Heatstroke” with Young Thug, Pharell, and Ariana Grande. Harris’ last album was 2014’s Motion and this new one is expected to be spectacular.
