The artist known as Chet Faker has rebranded himself with his own name. The Australian singer and songwriter has been on the music scene since 2011 when his cover of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” went viral online and was born Nicholas James Murphy. His debut EP came in 2012, with debut single “I’m Into You” placing 24th on a radio station hottest 100 list. At 28 years of age, he presents music in the electronica, downtempo, soul and trip hop genres, with top singles such as “Gold” and “Drop the Game” beloveds of fans everywhere. Chet Faker has been a stage name in homage to Chet Baker, whose songs were inspiration for the up and coming Melbourne artist. To date, Nick Murphy has a single studio album, which placed first on the Australia charts and sixth in New Zealand, three live albums and three extended plays, with the fourth, Missing Link, released on May 10 via Downtown Records/Interscope.

Missing Link has five tracks to it, with “Your Time” as the opening single, produced by Kaytranda. “Forget About Me” also makes the cut, along with “Bye”, “I’m Ready” and “Weak Education” among the track mix.
