Jack White has topped the Billboard 200 Albums Chart for his newest solo studio effort, Boarding House Reach. This will be White’s third no.1 album since going solo.
The album was released March 23 through Third Man/Columbia Records. Since then, it has sold more than 124,000 copies. From the total album sales, 121,000 of those were sold via traditional album copies. This was the highest sales week for a rock album so far this year.
Prior to Jack White’s Boarding House Reach, he had already scored two other no.1 albums: Lazaretto (2014) and Blunderbuss (2012). Boarding House Reach is the second highest sales week for 2018, following the week of February 8. When it comes to the rock album category, Boarding House Reach marks the second highest sales frame in this category since Songs of Experience by U2.
Before going solo, White also had many Billboard charting hits while he was still part of the duo The White Stripes. They had 3 top 10 hits from 2003 to 2007. However, the highest they got to was number two.
Other albums that were in the top 10 of the Billboard albums chart include Ed Sheeran’s ÷ Divide, Camila Cabello’s Camila, and Imagine Dragons’ Evolve.
