Major Lazer 2017 Album to Feature Top Names

Major Lazer 2

It has been confirmed! Diplo has stated that there will be quite a few big artists from the music industry in the coming year’s Major Lazer album, including Usher, Sam Hunt, Travi$ Scott, Ed Sheeran and Benny Blanco. All will be part of the “Cold Water” writing process for Diplo, but for the Major Lazer release, the voices of MØ, Sia, Tove Lo and Tinashe promise to make an appearance. The movers and shakers of the industry are rocking it out and we can imagine just how busy things are with 40 records on Diplo’s list. The coming year certainly expects to bring in the bang though as the American electronic band raises eyebrows everywhere. As per Diplo – “Definitely we have Usher on it. MØ’s back on songs. We have a song with Sam Hunt which is very unusual, but I love him. Travi$ Scott. I don’t even know; I have to go back…Sia is on a couple ideas, but one of the records might be her record. She’s definitely background vocals on a song.

With Drake’s reign of domination over UK singles put to the test by Justin Bieber, MØ and Major Lazer, and a whole lot of fun recently by Diplo’s group, it seems that changes will be coming to the industry soon enough and we can only watch with glee as we feel the waves of great pleasure reach our ears. Major Lazer itself has been around since 2008, with its genres of music spanning across the board to include everything from reggaeton to house, dancehall to moombahton. Three studio albums under their belt, the group’s upcoming masterpiece will be known as Music is the Weapon should also be including hints of country with the addition of the likes of Sam Hunt. It will drop around January 2017, but there is no specific release date so we shall have to wait and see…
