If you loved Adele’s 2015 album, 25, you may think it’s high time for a follow-up! You aren’t alone. A representative for the singer recently said that “she’s already penned some of the songs for a new record”. It’s being reported that Adele has already met with some of her music bosses at the London headquarters for Sony. The discussion: Plans for her next record! Some reports also claim that she’ll be spending this summer writing songs which she hopes to release by Christmas 2019.
The 30-year-old mega star has churned out hit after hit since she broke into the music scene, with songs like “Hello”, “Someone Like You”, and “Set Fire to the Rain”. Her album 25 went platinum 11 times and sold 1.11 million copies for her single “Hello” within a week of its release. She also completed a world tour in 2015 and even toured Australia and New Zealand. However, in 2017 Adele had to cancel two of her Wembley Stadium shows due to vocal chord damage.
Aside from these health issues, she was also in the news for her public support of families affected by the fire that hit Grenfell Tower. The residential tower was was less than a mile from her home in Kensington. She visited the scene with her husband Simon Konecki and spoke out about the lack of support given to survivors.
As her world tour came to an end, she announced to her fans that she would be taking a long break before she returned again.
