Alyana co-wrote “Break It Down” with Kenny and Janelle Angel. The tune reflects the singer’s difficult past where she built up walls having trust issues but as the song evolves, it finds Alayna in a better place where she has found love, is ready to forgive, trust, and move forward in a new relationship using those stones from the walls she broke down to build a bridge:
“Break It down, break this wall, stone by stone I want it gone
Open up my heart and make me free
Make it tumble, make it fall, take a hammer to it all
I think I’m ready, break it down with me”
“This was my first ever co-write with Kenny and Janelle Angel. I was in a place of hurt and wanted to write about it. I had the title ‘Break It Down’ and everything just kinda flowed in one session,” commented Alayna. “Break It Down” was produced by award-winning record producer Larry Beaird/Beaird Music Group (Dolly Parton, Billy Dean, and Mark O’Connor). Beaird commented, Boy, can Alayna sing!”
Alayna is currently working on new music; writing new songs, and putting her own unique spin on covers she plans to release later this year.

Alayna left the small town of Butler, Pennsylvania in the summer of 2011 with nothing but a few necessities and her favorite guitar to pursue her lifelong dream of a music career. Three short years later, she was writing with award-winning songwriters, playing some of Music City’s most prestigious venues including the world-famous Bluebird Café, Nissan Stadium, The Listening Room, and was offered endorsements from her favorite guitar company, Breedlove Guitars, and Fancy Guitar Capos.
Classically trained in piano from age 7, Alayna always had a love for music, but it wasn’t always Country. “I listened to a lot of different artists growing up: Jewel, Brandy, LeAnn Rimes, Sheryl Crow. I was all over the map,” she says. Now, she’s mixing those childhood influences of Pop/Rock melodies with the honesty of Country lyrics, bringing a new flavor to the table.
Though she didn’t realize it at the time, Alayna wrote her first song at age 12. It wasn’t until a few years later that she recognized her newfound talent and began to nurture it. During this time, Alayna taught herself to play guitar and kept up with regular piano lessons.
Currently, Alayna has over 1 million YouTube views and nineteen independent cuts to her credit. She has played many prominent conventions and festivals including CMA Music Fest, Christmas 4 Kids Bus Tour, Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival, National Cornbread Festival, Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival, Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival, Sunbelt AG, and the Tennessee State Fair. She was named one of the CMA’s (Country Music Association) Emerging Artist in 2017; released her second fan-funded EP Wicked City; has received multiple awards over the years from TSAI (Tennessee Songwriters Association International) including Co-Writer of the Year, Female Songwriter of the Year (for three consecutive years), Song Cut of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, and released a fan-funded EP, The Wrong Side, in 2015 with sales in thirty-five US states and twelve countries; charting at #30 on the iTunes UK Country charts. In 2019, Alayna released her first Christmas CD, Christmas Party, which she co-wrote all of and followed it up in 2020 with her most recent singles, “Play Dumb” and “Stereotype.” Alayna also had one of her songs included as an instrumental on season 18 of NBC’s hit TV show, The Voice and most recently recorded an acoustic cover of “Broken Wing” for Country Rebel and the video has now exceeded 164k views.
Whether she’s singing a song about moving on from a past relationship, showing a little attitude, or singing a feel-good song, Alayna stands out with her distinctive style, relatable lyrics, infectious melodies, and charismatic charm.
